Windermere's Band & Guitar Program

CONCERT BAND

Concert Band is open to students in grades 8-12. Windermere has 3 different levels of band: Beginner, Intermediate, and Senior. Students will get the opportunity to play in an ensemble and learn music fundamentals. They also play in school concerts and other performances as well.

GUITAR

The Guitar Program is open to students in grades 9-12. Windermere has 3 levels of guitar: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. Students will be able to develop their guitar skills and learn various Fingerpicking and strumming techniques. This program also participates in school concerts.

JUNIOR JAZZ BAND

The Junior Jazz Band is a new program at Windermere. This is a great opportunity for instrumental musicians to learn a new style of music and be immersed into the world of jazz. Student will learn jazz techniques and jazz music history. This ensemble will also play in school concerts. We hope to have more senior level jazz courses in the future.

ABOUT

The instrumental music program at Windermere has a long history and tradition of excellence.

In the Concert Band program, there are three levels: Beginner, Intermediate, and Senior.

In the Jazz program, we have a Junior Jazz band for first-year Jazz players, and we hope to introduce a second-year ensemble in the future.

The Guitar program was introduced in 2017, and has grown to include three levels: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced.

All instrumental music programs have the opportunity to perform at concerts and performances throughout the year.
